Landon was graduated from Kindergarten tonight. I am so proud of him; he did great. He picked the restaurant to eat at tonight. He chose “Cheddars”. Next week we will celebrate at Disney World with some friends from Florida …living the moment…loving the life. Sweet baby Gracie is proud of him, too!

…and baby number three is on the way!

That’s right – we are having another baby! What a huge, huge shock Tuesday gave me a couple of weeks ago. There were so many changes happening in our lives at the time. Tuesday’s brother had just passed away tragically, we had something else big going on that I can’t mention here, and I had just spent the afternoon with someone who is going to be a new working relationship in my life and when I came home – WHAM! “Our family of four is going to be a family of FIVE!” I thought someone was coming to live with us! The kids are excited and so are we! We don’t know if the new addition is a boy or a girl but we are excited regardless!!!!
Anyone who really knows me knows that I have always wanted to be a father. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife and two of the greatest kids on the planet. I can hardly wait to meet the next little baby! Life is good, really good!

Great to be alive!

With all of the problems in the world I am glad to be alive, in love, enjoying the present and dreaming of the future. I have a great wife and two awesome kids. Isn’t life about relationships? If you have your family then you have it all!
Last night we went to downtown Savannah and ate dinner at Five Guys Burgers & Fries (You ought to hear my 4 year old daughter say it!) It was very cold and we parked five blocks away. It was a great night out and I think we spent $20.00. Tonight we will go to bible study and enjoy Shepherds Pie and Boston Butt and good friends. The band will practice and it will be a fun night. Enjoy the moment. Enjoy your life. I bet you have some friends whose lives ended too short. You are still here – it’s great to be alive.

Posted in 1 with tags Family, Forsyth Park, Picnic in the Park, Savannah on October 9, 2008 by larrywilsonHere we are hanging out in Forsyth Park, listening to Jazz music and enjoying the family on a lazy Sunday evening! It was a great night with cool breezes, chicken from KFC, and hundreds of people with blankets on the ground, tables with glowing candles, children playing and some of Savannah’s best musicians entertaining the crowd. Life is good.
Preaching and Spurgeon…
Posted in 1 with tags london, preachers, prince, spurgeon on October 1, 2008 by larrywilsonHe was called the prince of preachers and for good reason. He pastored the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London for 31 years. He could hold audiences spellbound with his great oratory and style. He was the first to have a “mega church”. A strong Calvinist, he never gave public altar calls but many were saved under his ministry. If you have never read or studied the life of Spurgeon, do yourself and your church a favor…study him and his ministry.
